LEGAL
Terms of Service
The agreement between you and VEXL SMP for using the server, the website, and the store.
Last updated July 9, 2026
Acceptance of these terms
VEXL SMP ("VEXL", "we", "us") operates the Minecraft server at mc.vexl.org, the website at vexl.org and its subdomains, and the cosmetic store at shop.vexl.org. By connecting to the server, creating an account, or using any of these services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the server or site.
VEXL is an independent, community-run project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
Eligibility
You need a valid, legally-owned Minecraft: Java Edition account (Mojang or Microsoft) to play. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use online games and chat services like this one. Our Discord server is additionally governed by Discord's own Terms of Service and minimum age requirements.
Accounts and conduct
- One Minecraft account per player unless staff has approved an alt account.
- You're responsible for anything that happens under your account, in-game or on the website.
- Play by the server rules — they're part of this agreement, not a separate suggestion.
- Don't use hacked clients, X-ray, cheats, exploits, or duplication bugs. Report bugs to staff instead of abusing them.
Purchases and the store
The store at shop.vexl.org sells cosmetic ranks and convenience perks only. Nothing sold gives a competitive advantage in PvP, land claims, or economy balance. All purchases are for a limited license to use the associated in-game perks on this specific server — you don't own the underlying digital item, and it has no cash value or exchange value outside VEXL.
Purchases are generally final. Refunds are handled case-by-case at staff's discretion — reach out on Discord if something went wrong. Opening a chargeback instead of contacting us first will result in the associated perks being revoked and may result in a ban from the server and store.
Builds and in-game content
You keep the creative credit for what you build, but you don't have a legal ownership claim over anything stored on our servers. We may remove, edit, or roll back builds and world data to fix grief, bugs, exploits, or to keep the world within its border — we'll always try to warn first except in active grief or exploit situations.
Moderation and termination
Staff can warn, mute, kick, or ban any player who breaks the rules or these terms, at their reasonable discretion. Ban records — Minecraft username, reason, and duration — are published on our public ban list. You can appeal a moderation decision through Discord.
We can suspend or shut down the server, website, or store at any time, for any reason, including maintenance, abuse, or the project simply ending. We'll try to give notice on Discord where reasonably possible.
No warranty
VEXL is provided "as is," run by volunteers in their spare time. We don't guarantee uptime, data preservation, or that the server will be free of bugs. Back up anything that matters to you outside the game — we're not responsible for lost items, builds, or progress from crashes, rollbacks, or hosting issues.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VEXL and its staff aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the server, website, or store, including loss of in-game progress or purchased perks.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the server grows. Meaningful changes will be announced on Discord. Continuing to play or use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms go through Discord — join the server and reach out to staff there.
